Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year, River Mill Rangers!

As we prepare to begin a new school year, I am filled with excitement and optimism for all that lies ahead. My name is Lindsey Fullenwider, and I am honored to begin my third year as principal of River Mill Elementary. I remain deeply committed to ensuring that every child feels welcomed, supported, and inspired to learn each day!

This year marks an exciting new chapter for our school. River Mill Elementary will now serve students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, allowing us to focus exclusively on building strong foundations for our youngest learners. We are thrilled to welcome many new students and families to our school community and look forward to partnering with you throughout your child's educational journey.

Along with this transition comes a new identity as the River Mill Rangers. While we will always cherish the traditions and memories of our River Mill Timbers, we are excited to embrace this new beginning and the opportunities it brings. Our commitment to students remains unchanged: providing high-quality instruction, fostering meaningful relationships, and creating a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive!

Family partnership continues to be a vital part of our success. You can expect regular communication from both myself and your child's teacher to keep you informed about learning, events, and opportunities to get involved. Your voice matters, and we value your feedback, questions, and ideas as we work together to support every student.

River Mill has always been a special place, and this year is no exception! With an incredible staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive families, we are ready to make this school year one of growth, learning, and new beginnings. We can't wait to welcome our River Mill Rangers and begin this exciting journey together!

Important Upcoming Dates

Student placements are made with great care to ensure every child is set up for success.  Our goal is to ensure your child is in an environment where they can feel comfortable and excel.  We are confident that your student will thrive with their new teacher!  On Tuesday, August 4th, you will be able to view your child’s teacher in PowerSchool.  Our Kindergarten students will find out who their teacher will be after Kindergarten Soft Start.  If you have a child who will be entering Kindergarten and has not yet been registered, please do that on our website.

We invite families to join us for our Open House on Thursday, August 27th from 5:30–7:00 pm. 

All key dates, school-wide events, and helpful information will be shared regularly and you’ll receive a school calendar at Open House to help keep you up to date.

Enjoy the remaining days of summer! We can’t wait to welcome you back on the first day of school!

School Supplies

This year, we’re simplifying school supplies for families!  Instead of shopping for individual items, we’re asking each family to contribute $30 per student.  This allows us to purchase supplies in bulk, saving our families time and reducing the overall cost.

To start the year, please ensure your child has the following items:

• Backpack
   
• Water bottle
   
• Headphones
   
• Shoes that are appropriate for PE days
   
• $30 for school supplies

We know great things happen when schools and families work together, and we are excited to begin this new chapter as the River Mill Rangers!  Enjoy the remainder of your summer, and we look forward to welcoming our students and families back for a year filled with learning, growth, friendships, and unforgettable memories. ¡Bienvenidos al Año Escolar 2026-2027, River Mill Rangers!

Mientras nos preparamos para comenzar un nuevo año escolar, me siento llena de emoción y optimismo por todo lo que nos espera. Mi nombre es Lindsey Fullenwider, y es un honor para mí comenzar mi tercer año como directora de la Primaria River Mill. ¡Sigo profundamente comprometida a garantizar que cada niño se sienta bienvenido, apoyado e inspirado para aprender cada día!

Este año marca un nuevo y emocionante capítulo para nuestra escuela. La Primaria River Mill ahora atenderá a estudiantes desde kínder hasta segundo grado, lo que nos permitirá enfocarnos exclusivamente en construir bases sólidas para nuestros estudiantes más pequeños. Estamos encantados de dar la bienvenida a muchos nuevos estudiantes y familias a nuestra comunidad escolar y esperamos colaborar con ustedes a lo largo del camino educativo de sus hijos.

Junto con esta transición llega una nueva identidad: los River Mill Rangers. Aunque siempre apreciaremos las tradiciones y los recuerdos de nuestros River Mill Timbers, nos emociona dar la bienvenida a este nuevo comienzo y a las oportunidades que trae. Nuestro compromiso con los estudiantes sigue siendo el mismo: brindar una enseñanza de alta calidad, fomentar relaciones significativas y crear un ambiente seguro y acogedor donde cada niño pueda prosperar.

La colaboración con las familias sigue siendo una parte fundamental de nuestro éxito. Recibirán comunicaciones periódicas tanto de mi parte como del maestro de su hijo para mantenerlos informados sobre el aprendizaje, los eventos y las oportunidades para participar. Su opinión es importante, y valoramos sus comentarios, preguntas e ideas mientras trabajamos juntos para apoyar a cada estudiante.

River Mill siempre ha sido un lugar especial, ¡y este año no es la excepción! Con un personal increíble, estudiantes entusiasmados y familias que nos apoyan, estamos listos para hacer de este año escolar uno de crecimiento, aprendizaje y nuevos comienzos. ¡Estamos ansiosos por dar la bienvenida a nuestros River Mill Rangers y comenzar juntos este emocionante viaje!

Fechas importantes próximas

La asignación de los estudiantes se realiza con mucho cuidado para garantizar que cada niño esté preparado para el éxito. Nuestro objetivo es garantizar que su hijo se encuentre en un entorno donde pueda sentirse cómodo y sobresalir. ¡Estamos seguros de que su hijo prosperará con su nuevo maestro! El martes 4 de agosto, podrán ver quién es el maestro de su hijo en PowerSchool. Nuestros estudiantes de kínder descubrirán quién será su maestro después del inicio suave del kínder. Si tienen un hijo que ingresará al kínder y aún no lo han inscrito, por favor háganlo en nuestro sitio web.

Invitamos a las familias a acompañarnos en nuestra Jornada de Puertas Abiertas el jueves 27 de agosto de 5:30 a 7:00 p.m.

Todas las fechas importantes, los eventos de toda la escuela y la información útil se compartirán regularmente, y recibirán un calendario escolar en la Jornada de Puertas Abiertas para que se mantengan al día.

¡Disfruten los días que quedan de verano! ¡Estamos ansiosos por darles la bienvenida el primer día de clases!

Materiales escolares

¡Este año, estamos simplificando los materiales escolares para las familias! En lugar de comprar artículos por separado, les pedimos a cada familia que contribuya con 30 dólares por estudiante. Esto nos permite comprar los materiales al por mayor, lo que ahorra tiempo a nuestras familias y reduce el costo total.

Para comenzar el año, asegúrense de que su hijo cuente con los siguientes artículos:
